Is it possible to copy maps from Garry's mod to another Source game? (KZ stuff) Posted: 01 Apr 2020 02:11 AM PDT I recently got into a Source game called Kreedz Climbing which replicates the movement from Counter Strike 1.6 and stuff and contains a ton of surf maps, bunnyhop maps, jump maps, raceways, and all that good stuff. The game is build on the source engine, and it DOES have a workshop, with about 6 pages of maps and stuff people have uploaded. The game is found here. https://store.steampowered.com/app/626680/Kreedz_Climbing/ The game does not contain any death run maps, which are basically like multiplayer obstacle courses. However, considering it is a source engine game, I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to simply use already existing maps and just import them into this game. Most of the uploads on the games workshop were pre-existing maps from the Counter Strike series already. In the discussion page, the developer said this. "Hi, deathrun is possible in Kreedz Climbing already from a technical standpoint, but no one has made a map yet that does it as far as I know." With that out of the way, would it be possible for me to just download maps from the Garry's mod (and perhaps also CS:GO's) workshop, and paste them into the Kreedz Climbing map folder? If so, could I import already existing deathrun maps into Kreedz Climbing? They are on the same engine after all, and like I said before, the majority of the maps on the games workshop page are from previous source games anyway. I'm likely missing something here that would make this impossible, but that's why I decided to ask those more knowledgeable than me. Also, is there a different between these obstacle course types for 2 teams or 1 team? Like, there are those where 1 team tries to survive and the other activates traps, but there's also those where a bunch of players are just up against a dangerous environment with spikes and tricky jumps and stuff. [Modeling] My collision mesh isn't correct in-game Posted: 01 Apr 2020 01:20 AM PDT Hello everyone ! Posting here since I can't find any fixes for my mesh, even with some searches. So I have made a sort of "cart", which I have done all the collision meshes, but it seems like it does not work correctely. Let me explain : I modeled a mesh on C4D and imported it in MilkShape. https://i.imgur.com/Re2tYqv.png But the weird thing is that even with the concave option, there seems to be a collision line between the front and the top of the cart (represented in red). So I "float" while walking on it. I have made separate meshes for the base, wheels, and the rods, and linked them in Milkshape, and compiled it with the concave option enabled. Help ! Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:05 PM PDT Got hatschat2 ( https://www.gmodstore.com/market/view/hatschat2-chatbox ) for my server and by default anyone with the groups superadmin, owner, coowner, etc are given a chat tag. these chat tags aren't displaying at all and I haven't bee able to get them working at all. specifically asks for "Rank/SteamID" and I assume ulx groups are the ranks but I don't know. If anyone's got any info, and has the patience to help someone lua-illiterate like me, that'd be great. [link] [comments] | ||

Watch out for servers ping spoofing (Oceanic/Australia) Posted: 31 Mar 2020 06:59 PM PDT Hey there r/gmod I wanted to give you guys a bit of a warning of multiple servers spoofing their ping on multiple gamemodes. The server browser (including legacy) will show servers with lower than 30ish ping, but joining them redirects you to a US server located in Texas. This is currently plaguing the Australian server list and they may also be doing this in other regions. Posted: 31 Mar 2020 06:38 PM PDT Title above, to me it doesn't seem right that it needs 4/6 shells to kill a player at 100 hp with bodyshots, and even with headshots it takes 3, that's if all the pellets hit, so anything out of very close range can very well take all 6 shells.
