    Is gmod updating to source 2?

    With a "new half life game" and the release of source 2 i've been wondering if Gmod gonna get updated to get the graphics of source 2. If this happens what would it mean for the modding community?

    My questions for the two upcoming January updates...

    Hey, I don't know if y'all heard but we're gonna get two updates, one on the 21st and the other on the 24th.

    Apparently, they're making big changes to Steam Workshop.

    And they're also giving us the long-awaited Chromium and 64-Bit branches (I think it's like as in "putting it in the main branch").

    I have a few questions.

    • I've used the 64-Bit branch before. But I've wondered what the advantages really are when it comes to the average gamer.
    • Will this affect performance?
    • Here's something I've especially wondered:
      • Would it be possible to fix addon lag?
      • When you have a hundred or more addons, performance will start to drop regardless of graphics settings. It'll be smooth, but it'll have this sort of choppiness to it. So even ultra high-end gaming PCs will have performance problems.
      • I was wondering if this is actually fixable, perhaps in a sense of maybe just changing how the game handles addons, whether it be clientside, serverside, whatever. I've heard from one person that the 64-Bit branch was basically planning on trying to eliminate this or something, but I'm not entirely sure.
      • Yes, I understand you probably shouldn't have that many addons anyways, but it sucks because I guarantee more than half of that crap is just required addons alone, i.e. addons required for other addons to function.

    my computer sound is maxed out my headset sound is maxed out I'm using Turtle Beach headphones was fine yesterday but today it's went to shit

    My server lags when i spawn cars.

    When i spawn cars and weapons the server starts lagging. Its a 4 gb ram and 4 cpu cores... I dont understand why is lagging. I have been researching idk what to do. I have just heard if it maybe have something to tickrate. Anyone that have tips
