    Is Garry's mod worth it in 2020?

    I remember the good old days where i watch my favorite youtubers playing Garry's mod, i always wanted to try playing it, but i don't wanna buy games. Now in 2020, i wanted to try playing Garry's mod, but i think it's not that popular anymore, is it still worth playing and is the community still pretty active? Thanks for the answers

    Unable to connect to multiplayer servers

    Hello fellow redditors,

    I have a problem with my Garry's Mod that is outright peeving me off. Whenever I try to join most multiplayer DarkRP servers I get the the point where I am downloading fonts, and then after about 3 minutes it crashes. I have looked at numerous forums but alas there is still no solution. Please help!

    i made a map in gmod and saved the game, later i wanted to play the map with one of my friends but he couldnt join because it registered as singleplayer, is there a way to convert it to multiplayer?

    Gmod crashed and made steam unusable as well.

    Title. I was playing around with addons today and all of a sudden, the game freezes with a sound loop. Can't access Task Manager (since the game was in fullscreen) and i just had to wait for it to close. Once it did (5 minutes later) it made steam unusable as well and i had to restart my pc. Is this a known issue? My friend says it happens to him too, but nearly every time he boots up the game. Any help or fixes would be appreciated

    I would of left a post in gmodservers reddit but it seems pretty dead, If this post is unaccept please delete it.

    Onto the topic I'm looking for a nice chill server where I can relax and have fun. I played alot of PERP and noobonic plague rp servers back in the day and want a server which has similar elements, I have played gmod a bit recently but have struggled to find a server which even had cars and was not on the dreaded downtown map that is so boring

    New rp_downtown_kevcas map !

    Hi all, i recently made a new downtown map called rp_downtown_kevcas_v2 and i was wondering if you could provide me with some feedback :)

    This is my second remake of a map and im still learning new stuff here and there, this time i went for a more compact map as this encourages player interactions which in turn improves the overall vibe of servers. Every map these days has to be really huge in order to be liked, but this often kills small servers trying to go to big. Thats why i made a small(er) DarkRP map.

    Also: do you guys have any tips on making my workshop addon page more attractive to users? im trying to promote the addon by using some screenshots and a vid. Do you guys have any more suggestions?
