| Gmod keeps looking in Addons folder instead of new workshop folder Posted: 16 Nov 2020 11:19 PM PST I recently Reinstalled garrysmod after building a new pc, however ive had this problems which has been painstakingly itching at me to solve. Garrysmod's console keeps looking in the addons folder for addons, but in a update not too long ago the addons were moved to the workshop folder. so garrysmod says it cant find the addons and fails to mount them. I thought there should be a simple fix for this but neither Facepunch studios, Steam support, or the Gmod Steam forums could help me. I have already: -Verified game cache several times -reinstalled the game several times -unsubscribed from all addons and resubscribed This problem has been killing me for atleast two weeks now so any help will be greatly appreciated! | Looking for a way to pass a trigger activation into Lua? Posted: 16 Nov 2020 04:36 PM PST Hi, Hopefully this isn't the wrong content for this sub. I'm helping my girlfriend with some stuff involving Lua. I'm looking to make a simple script where when a player runs through a trigger, it checks that player's SteamID and if it is a certain value, it triggers a world event. I'm looking for a way to pass a trigger (and hopefully the triggerer's steamID as well) to Lua through a trigger_multiple, but the documentation on this leaves much to be desired. I've been reading the wiki for a few days and nothing like that is documented, nothing like that exists, or I'm blind. I tend to not believe the second one as I asked my girlfriend and she said, according to a friend of hers who is experienced in GMod Lua that it's relatively simple.
