    No world sounds

    I have a bug with this game where the game isn't able to find sounds for footsteps or props colliding with each other.

    This is what appears in the console when this happens.

    All the files are intact. I've verified the cache of the game and even factory reset, but they didn't work. Is there any other way I could fix this?

    So when my friend speaks in gmod, his microphone sounds like Satan and is basically indecipherable and on discord its fine? What is causing this?

    My friends came up with this gamemode where one person escapes from the city and has to reach the airfield, the other two search the map for him and try and kill him in helicopters (or as a hunter/gunship). Really fun if you like half life 2

    whenever i start steam, garrys mod always has to download its self again. i recently used gmod's hammer if that helps.

    UPDATE: it's now downloading all of my add-ons again and its been quite a while. 37 out of 485

    32-bit branch crashes while the 64-bit branch works perfectly

    The main 32-bit branch of gmod crashes on launch for me, but the 64-bit branch runs perfectly.

    No addons installed, and I already verified my game cache and reinstalled.

    I need help making a proper webslinger addon

    A guy made a wonderful addon for Attack on Titan HERE, and I think it could be made into a spiderman webslinger mod with only a few changes.

    Those being

    • Disabling the world model
    • Disabling the Smoke trail
    • Replacing the cable material to a more web-like one
      • I would suggest xbeam.vmt it seems the webby-est
    • Replacing the Sounds
      • For the hit sound I would suggest flesh_squishy_impact_hard1.wav
    • Ridding the extra options in the menu (There won't be a need for smoke settings anymore)

    I've been fooling around with the original file to no avail. I'm not completely sure how a lot of the coding bits work, so I was hoping one of you did. If one of you want to try and see if you could pull this off, that would be wonderful. When you upload it make sure to credit the 3DMG creator.

    I love the feel of the original addon's physics, so messing about with those isn't really needed.
