    I cannot, for the life of me, seem to find any help on how to play as a Hotel Manager in Dark RP. Was wondering if there was a source or if anyone on this sub knows how to play this role. Commands to give guests keys. Etc. Etc. Just useful, basic stuff to know. Ya know?

    How to run a singleplayer gmod map on macOS Catalina

    As you all know, macOS Catalina dropped support for 32-bit applications, of which GMod is no exception. Luckily, I will tell you how to start a singleplayer map in Catalina.

    Downloading the 64 bit version

    First, go to your Steam Library, right click (or control click) GMod and go to Properties. There is a tab there called "Betas". Click on it.

    In the beta tab, there should be a dropdown that says "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs". Change that to "x86-64 - Testing 64-bit builds"

    After that, close the Properties window. It will download an update. After the update is completed, the title will change from "Garry's Mod" to "Garry's Mod [x86-64]"

    Keeping the game from crashing

    After the update has completed, you might be tempted to run the game. Don't run it at this stage, I'll explain why later. First, go to your Steam Library folder via Finder, and go to steamapps>common>GarrysMod. There should be an application simply entitled "GarrysMod". If not, put "GarrysMod.app" in the search bar.

    After you find the application, right click on it and select "Show Package Contents". It will open a directory with only one folder, that being "Contents". Navigate to Contents>MacOS. Inside the MacOS folder will be a file called "html_chromium.dylib". For some reason, this makes GMod crash if it is inside the game. Delete the file, and exit out of the directory.

    It is now ready to be launched. Launch the game, and you will notice that there is no main menu. This is normal, and a result of deleting "html_chromium.dylib". All good things come with a cost.

    Using the console to load the map

    Once it finishes loading your addons, hit the tilde key ( ~ ) to open the console. type in "map (map you want to load)". If you want to load a map with a different gamemode, type in "map2 (map) (gamemode)". If you know how, you can connect to multiplayer servers via the console.

    It will appear to freeze for a while because the loading screen has been deleted. Don't worry, it is still loading, though.

    GMod should work after that.

    Bugs I have encountered using this technique

    • The crosshairs are replaced with the letter Q
    • Dupes and saves do not show up in the spawnmenu.

    What are some free video and audio editing softwares?

    Im making my first gmod animation, but I dont know any software to edit and, since its a TF2 gmod animation, which pretty much the most reckognizable feature are the way the characters speak, like editing Solider saying "Maggots!" to say "Faggots!"
