Looking for help with a strange connectivity issue across two computers in the same household.

Recently my friends group and I decided to jump back into gmod and it's many game modes. However we've run into a very strange (and infuriating) issue when it comes to hosting a server via Steam's p2p option. Generally I am the host for many mp games due to some background in hosting/networking/etc.

Of the group, two of us are in the same household/same network. Both pcs are on separate Steam accounts, with their own copies of gmod and static ip addresses. The issue we run into is that of the two computers (labeled as A and B) is that computer B cannot seem to connect to computer A and any invites sent from A don't arrive to B. However, in a further twist on things, computer A has no problem with joining on computer B. The connectivity issues are only present on these two machines, as everyone else is able to connect to either with no issues.

Having pc B as the host works in the meantime, but for the future I'd like to solve this connection issue. I've gone through the usual laundry list of google searches, and attempted fixes. Checking addons, re-installing, checking router settings, opening ports and disabling the firewall temporarily. Nothing has worked so far.

So I now ask the gmod community for any suggestions you may have in fixing or finding out what is causing our problem.

1: night time ( fits halloween) 2: doesn't require any other games 3: somekind of large spooky hideout you can explore (hospital, circus, etc) 4: explorable forest of somekind (doesn't need to be a forest actually) 5: somekind of hill / lake you can fight at
