GMod servers saying "Not Responding" Posted: 12 Sep 2019 05:46 PM PDT I have been getting this problem for so many months I can't play on any server. Every time I try to join a server (Ex: DarkRP), the game will load but then when it reaches near the end, the title of the game says "Not Responding". This either crashes my game or turn the whole monitor black. ​ I soon found out that if I change the mat_dxlevel to 90, I can join the server, however when I do that, the flashlight doesn't work, I hear the click, but no light. Now when I join my own game (Single Player) with mat_dxlevel 95, everything works fine. My question is, how do I fix this "Not Responding" error when I try to join a server with a working flashlight function, it been going on for so many months I'm tired of it. I played GMod for so long, this never occurred to me till this year. ​ Note: My wifi is a wifi extender.
