    Dear moderators of /r/gmod as a member of this community I am reserved in my right to point out towards this issue in the best way I can think of. I am nót breaking any rules that are made for this particular sub-reddit nor am I breaking any rules made under the user agreements made for the Reddit website. This is an issue that is important to discuss further. I will also make a similar post on /r/gaming regarding this issue. Thank you for understanding.

    Hello everyone, my name is Frank Glass and I've played Garry's Mod ever since it was released. I am a huge fan and have over 1000 hours clocked on my primary steam account, and 500 more on my secondary. This is going to be a long post but it's an important one regarding your online privacy. So it's worth the read.

    About a month ago a Garry's Mod update was released. Just today / yesterday another. What makes this one and the other one mentioned special, is that the last one came along with a user agreement. I read through it and accepted. However I came across a part that stood out to me.

    "ix. Conduct. do or say anything unlawful, racist, harassing, threatening, abusive, hateful, xenophobic, sexist, discriminatory, abusive, defamatory, obscene, invasive of the privacy of another person or otherwise offensive. This includes in any chat or other communications with users. Facepunch reserves the right to monitor the content of any of your messages and prevent your use of any such chat or other communication systems for any reason."

    Why this is interesting to me is because how are they supposed to monitor networks-wide behavior of players? Some of you may not agree but I consider the Garry's Mod community to be a toxic one. So me and some friends did some digging and came across a DLL file that came along with the previous update. 'Analytics.dll'. This is new for me.
    After knowing this we digged a little further and found out that the DLL makes it possible for the Garry's Mod executable to communicate with several IP Adresses, the following; 

    34.192.55.27 104.23.140.18

    The first one belongs to Amazon.com inc. The second one to Cloudfare Inc. I.E. Facepunch. Why is this interesting? Well, the DLL makes it possible to send data about your system, to the Cloudfare/Facepunch servers. Facepunch now holds the rights to outright restrict your access to the videogame if they deem it to be called for, and they hold the rights to have your data in their posession. The second IP Adress I mentioned above came new along with the new DLL file.

    Now knowing this you may think to yourself 'What the *** I don't want them to have my data! What do I do?'
    Well that's simple. After some testing we figured out that simply deleting the DLL file disrupts the communications between this IP and yours. Where is this DLL file? Well that's simple.

    Garrysmod\garrysmod\bin\analytics.dll

    Suffice to say after knowing that there's a way around they might roll out another update fixing this issue, but do know that we will work on anóther work around if this happens and if this happens I will make another post. I will also make a post regarding this issue on /r/gaming/ as I expect the moderators here to simply delete this post.

    Vehicles suddenly have high gravity?

    I don't know what I did but suddenly all my vehicles seem to have really high gravity (default and addons). The standard HL2 buggy has a really hard time going forward. Here's a video showing this:

    I tried disabling all addons and completely re-installed the game but it still persists. Any console command out there that could revert this?

    There's only one that I could find that actually has individual parts that dent and break, and that one doesn't even have working headlights or a horn. More people need to be doing this.

    Microphone not working or very muffled

    Hello,

    I have a Arctis 7 headset and it works fine in discord and anyother game.
    Except in Gmod where it sounds muffled or people dont even hear me .
    Going to Settings and Changing my Sound settings to 7.1 Speakers seemed have helped but not enought for people to properly understand me.

    Is there other settings i can / should change to get my Microphone to work Or am i just Screwed
    ?

    good maps? some thing quite large for flying planes but with some buildings for cqb and snipers?
