    S&box looked like it was going to be a spiritual successor to Gmod in a way. Then face punch punched me in my hopes and feelings there.

    The fact that it won't ship with source assets ( If my information here is incorrect please feel free to correct me) kind of bugs me. I get why they want to make their own assets and stuff, plus that 25% fee valve has to use their engine. It just puts me off as a long time Gmod player that there won't be any half life or source stuff. I loved the half life stuff in Gmod it's cool. The assets face punch has look, weird. They look like Rick and morty characters almost.

    I also will miss all the stuff Gmod has to offer, since a lot of mod developers aren't active anymore we won't get a lot of the mods we have for Gmod in s&box, unless someone else ports them. I also think this game will divide the Gmod community, some will move to s&box, others will stay. Since Gmod isn't as big as it once was (it's still alive and active but not like 3-5 years ago active.) this divide could kill both games, more likely gmod. Gamemodes like Dark rp, TTT, Prop hunt, hide and seek, etc. Were made for Gmod and source, you'd have to re make them from scratch, servers would either have to move or make 2 servers for Gmod and s&box (assuming s&box allows for that.)

    Sorry for this rant I just wanted to say the fact that s&box isn't looking like what I hoped it would be, it might not be a bad game, but it will never live up to Gmod.

    TL;DR S&box isn't using source assets and instead using their own assets, this may not be a big deal to some but to me it would feel like a totally different experience, not even a spiritual successor of sorts. Face punches models look weird (at least the ones I've seen)

    I want to make a save using a linear map and a fair enemy set, to test out enemies in. I also wanted to eventually try structuring a campaign, to see if I could do that using just saves and good prop/enemy placement. But I can't do that when the enemies aggro to me on sight, so I can't place them in thought-out ways without them just chasing me down before the map playthrough actually starts.

    So, is it possible to freeze the map without freezing the player?

    So I've been reading the steam forums and a lot of people are saying that singleplayer maps are haunted or that something's watching them or something. they're probably doing this for attention but it sort of unsettles me.

    How does Garry's Mod "Invite Friends" work?

    Instead of hosting a dedicated server or using hamachi we are able to use the steam community to invite people on our friends list into a local server, built into Garry's Mod. This feature is amazing and not present in any other game I play. Since this requires no port fowarding I wondered how on earth this black magic trickery fowards the ports, and which ports it uses on localhost and router?

    I also wondered if this same technique could work in other source games such as CS:S or TF2.

    Among us prop hunt

    hello im trying to setup a prop hunt in the skeld but I cant find a map that has enough props to choose from does anyone have any advice? I never really used gmod. Is there ways I can add more props myself and it saves in the map? Thank you. Yes ik I'm noob.

    So I made a Garry's mod server the other day for me and my friends to play on. They can all connect to it, except for one person for some reason. I went to my dad's house, and tried to play GMod there, and it wouldn't show the server there either. I think it's my internet settings there.

    What do I do?

    DarkRP scripts not working when switched to SWRP

    So, someone told me that if i wanted to pose fingers in gmod 9.0 i had to use the face poser, but it doesnt do anything, and since its gmod 9.0 it doesnt show a option for fonger poser, so how do i pose fingers in gmod 9.0?

    Today, I bought good on steam for my MacBook Pro, which is running macOS Big Sur. Which is 64-bit. I was unaware the game was only available for 32-bit. Is gmod coming to 64-bit?
