Posted: 24 Nov 2020 02:07 AM PST Does anyone know of a mod that can either help with modding as whole or a mod that helps make errors easier to solve? [link] [comments]

how to view demos without host_timescale? Posted: 23 Nov 2020 11:09 PM PST I have a lot of demos but in those demos, host_timescale changes and this slows down or speeds up the time in-game, this affected the demos too. Is there a way to change that and make it feel like it was host_timescale 1 the entire time? It works like that in csgo but idk how to do that for gmod. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Low FPS on x86-64/Chromium build Posted: 23 Nov 2020 03:26 PM PST I'm trying to get good framerates on GMOD on a good PC, and people tell me to enable chromium on GMOD. When I do that, my FPS drops down to 15 FPS compared to leveling around 80 FPS and then dropping down to 40 FPS. Am I doing something wrong that's making me not get good FPS in chromium? I tried changing to borderless window and it claims to have boosted my FPS but it still stutters. Any help? [link] [comments]

Would many of you be interested in a YouTube series like this? Posted: 23 Nov 2020 09:56 AM PST Hopefully this isn't breaking any rules. One thing I've always enjoyed doing is loading up random old Source/GoldSrc maps and just exploring. They're so interesting in that they're all small passion projects by thousands of different people. They are all made with the same set of tools, but most maps are totally unique with different environments, locations, moods, themes histories and reasons for being created, yet they're all united with that familiar Source engine feeling the entire massive community has grown to love over the past two decades. With the amount of effort that goes into these projects, it's a real shame that most are eventually forgotten and fade into nothing more than a distant memory. They are like lost works of art. It's especially saddening for me because they're really tied up with my childhood. I would love to make a series of short YouTube videos exploring and talking about old maps, and if possible contacting the creators for insight; why the map was made, any fun technical details, etc. Of course a series like this is pointless if nobody is going to watch it. What do you guys think? I got the idea while watching this 3kliksphillip video. [link] [comments]
