For those not in the loop, all moat.gg servers were blacklisted from the server browser by Facepunch this week. This is due to a combination of issues, ranging from alleged inflated player counts and ping spoofing, to head admin Cole sexually harassing members of the community (unsolicited dick pics, etc.). logs (NSFW)

Other problematic actions include:

defrauding the in-game economy, intentionally or unintentionally, through a series of drops containing OP weapons and post-"bug" rollbacks

moat grooming a minor, convincing her to sell her nudes when she turned 18

questionable staff promotion/demotion and poorly handled staff grievances relating to said changes

There are MANY different options for playing TTT besides moat. meep.gg/pluto.gg and Velkon Gaming are both staffed and developed by former moat staffers/devs and both servers aim to replicate the moat experience to some degree. Other, more vanilla options are also out there.

I don't see any way you could justify supporting this guy. I understand there are quite a few out there who have poured a lot of time/money/emotion into these servers. However, if the toxicity and mismanagement (let alone harassment) hasn't hit you yet, it will soon. Dozens of former staff and community members have voiced their concerns for a long time now; the writing has very much been on the wall for a while.

Help me remember this game mode

It's been a really long time since I played it so I dont know if servers with this game mode are even still running. All I remember is:

-the mode was team based (2-4 teams) with each team having an equally sized zone with their particular color -you won by holding the ball (a half life 2 rollermine) in your team's zone for the longest time -you could build structures and bases that could be destroyed by other teams -the maps were very simple and arena-like and often had placeholder, grid textures

Again, it's been super long since I played and I probably dont have all the details right. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'd love to play it again.

Problem with textures

So I installed some textures from CSS, TF2, etc. for a map. It worked, but when I hit certain objects the missing texture shows up where I hit it. Also blood is spewing out of characters now, which may be part of another game. Another thing is the bazooka's little red light that shows where you're pointing it is a flat png instead of the normal light.

I've tried dragging them into a zip, but it takes way too long for all of the data to be added to it, so that doesn't work.

Im using Direct X 8 in the special launch options because I get many more fps that way but the water is white in most maps. Is anyway to fix this, is there any addon?

LSF view error

When I try to go into a plane it shows me red text on a black screen saying that another mod is causing an error so the viewbox does not work and asks me to exit the plane. Any fix?

Canvas that loads jpegs from urls

I was in a gamemode called basewars and one of the entities you could spawn in the game was called Canvas. When you went up to the canvas you could press E on it and it asks you for a url. If you paste a url that contains a jpeg or any other common image extension it would then display that image from the internet onto the canvas (Which was basically just a flat plastic prop from the builder section)

I was wondering if there is an addon that does this. Or, if this is a server custom item. And if it is the latter is there an easy way to do this if I want to use it in single player mode?

Hello, I was wondering what the best gmod workshop addon there is for a bayonet gamma dopler. I have looked into some csgo skins sweps, but nothing has a decently detailed and pleasent looking gamma dopler. All/any help is appreciated. Thanks.
