Checking For Update Loop

Every time I try to update Garry's Mod it does this .

And even if I just open the game as it is, it just doesn't open. Am I forgetting to install something that will make it open, or just I don't know.

Ambient Sounds won't work

Hello! Recently, while playing with friends, I noticed the ambient sounds aren't playing. My thought process is that I must of used a console command to stop them, but now no ambient sounds play.

Any help would be appreciated.
