    One Time on a Dark RP Server...

    ...I took every prop I could move on the map and shoved it into a small room. I was even able to move toilets, sinks, vending machines and other props otherwise unmovable because the server had a "pocket SWEP" that let me pocket the items (this no longer works as all servers I've tried this on ever since have used a different version of the pocket SWEP.) I even made a point of pulling around a wagon that I used to steal large furniture props from homes and other buildings. When the admin found me, I was trying to climb through my stash and all he said was "Oh."

    I am currently running a bit low on storage space, and I was playing on the GMOD multiplayer servers. I played a bit too much and ended up wasting about 4 GIGS of storage. I should have known better than to play multiplayer on my potato windows 7 pro laptop with barely any disk space left. (I mostly stick to sandbox and battle with NPCs) So I checked my subscribed items in the workshop, and the server content wasn't there. I poked around in the GMOD steam files and found a folder named 'server' or 'servers'. I found some files with a TON of MB and GB worth of storage space. I presume they were the files, and I wanted to delete them, but I decided to check with you guys first. The file names are mostly random jumbles of letters and numbers. If I delete them, will it affect my sandbox at all or multiplayer GMOD (multiplayer does not really matter to me though.) If I delete them and download a bunch of server content later in another server, will I just be able to delete the server content for that server and play on a new one without the risk of game-ending my computer? Help is MUCH appreciated and THANK YOU SO MUCH for your time.

    EDIT: The folder was in downloads and has 18 GIGS in it.

    PLEASE HELP ME!!

    My problem is that the textures of my objects,npcs,gravity gun,the spawnlist,console,words and pictures, healthbar ,and sometimes world skyboxes are black (not pink and black textures like i mean BLACK) i have done everything (uninstalling, dx_level 80 makes game freeze on loading screen and deleting my addons plus verifying my game cache only fixes some problems in some maps) but nothing works.

    So i got this super rare epic e2 made ship by someone i know and it's suppost to be the greatest thing even only that it doesn't really work because of an e2 error, if someone would be able to just look and give me an advice via discord or skype i would share with him the dupe after or even pay him via paypal

    The New "Era" or "Age" of Gmod

    This is more of a rant than a discussion, and probably a common one at that, so ignore this post if you don't care to hear my ramblings.

    I remember playing Gmod back when in 2010 on my computer tower that could barely handle it's graphics, but not caring I ignored the terrible frames and mowed through crowds of NPCs with whatever I could get my hands on in the Toybox. After the computer broke there was a 5 year gap where all I had was my DS, so when I finally got another computer, the first thing I did was get Gmod again. I remember coming back and seeing everything new, and playing all the multiplayer gamemodes I could since I had never experienced that part of Gmod prior. Since then I've collected close to 3,000 hours on the game, suffice to say I thoroughly enjoy the game.

    Now here's the rant. Recently, I've noticed a steep decline in my enjoyment of the game, and I know it's not just me growing tired of the game, because I still have fun when I play LAN with my siblings. This is a mutual gripe that me and friends have when playing now, that it's the servers are all the same in one way or another. They're all pay-to-win, and if they're not that, then they're full of the worst people you could imagine. DarkRP is especially the worst when it comes to this. Hell I'm sick and tired of getting dicked down my some 9 year old who spent his mom's credit card on an OP custom job with every weapon on the server when I'm trying to make a bar for actual RP. I'm not one to bitch about "muh immersion" or anything of the likes, but when I, a new player, am pitted against a guy who is currently hurling himself around my place with a fucking lightsaber, why bother fighting. Hell, why bother playing. Every DarkRP experince is cookie cutter, with few exceptions. It's all about the money now, and never about the fun. INB4 "then just don't play the gamemode", I wish it was a choice, because all the good gamemodes get like 2 players. Look at what happened to Jailbreak, the one good gamemode that still gets tons of players are all from huge servers like Hearthigen who have the exact same PTW feature as in DarkRP. I would love to play other things if all the other things weren't monopolized by huge servers that are obscenely tilted towards the person with the most money to throw away.

    God I miss the old days, call me a boomer or oldfag or what have you, but I have amazing memories on Garry's Mod that I wouldn't trade for the world. Hours of me and friends playing TTT late into the night, levels of laughter I've only ever experience on random servers with complete strangers. To close this, I want to thank everyone at Facepunch for their masterpiece of a game, and I'm very excited for what S&box will bring to the community. Thank you

    So lately I've been experiencing a bug in-game with certain player models where the toolgun flickers rapidly in first person and I see the models arms floating just ahead of me, has this happened with anyone else? If so how do you solve the problem?

    Validating Issue

    So I just got my new pc up and running and I installed GMOD to it and it finished the download but then goes to validating right after. I didn't want it to validate or anything it did it on its own and now I can't launch the game. Can someone please help me with this?
