    I am looking for a friend to play sandbox with regularly. messin around with wire and creating still environments, other things. I can teach what you don't already know. I am in the east-coast US (timezone EST) and get off work to play for a couple hours. I usually play couple days a week at EST 8:00AM-1:00PM.     Can we just fucking have the FP Forums back?

    It's rediculous, at least provide people with a datadump of all the useful shit posted on there.

    Continuously struggling with creating things for GMOD due to not being able to easily find LUA information, starting to just consider deleting everything i've made so far and forgetting about it lol. Every issue i run into, i google it and see the issue right there on the facepunch forums... but obviously i can't read it. So far the only way i've managed to create what i have was due to the FP forums reading peoples previous posts etc.

    The wiki is basically just a list of functions with barely any case use examples on half the stuff. Which I can understand because facepunch filled the gap..

    So much fucking knowledge and information thrown away for no reason, it's literally just going to kill the game because no one new can get into the scene to carry it on. (likely the case as why would people buy S&box otherwise)

    Are there addons that change player air movement?

    Specifically, an addon that changes air acceleration and physics to allow for better air control would be great - I.E. something like Minecraft's air movement or similar, where there's a great deal of control rather than the weird Source physics.

    Alternatively, an addon that allows for customization of things like air acceleration so I can set this up myself would also be fine.

    And, lastly, and probably not going to be the same kind of addon - is there anything that might change jumping to be more Mario-like, where you go higher the longer you hold the jump button?

    Jailbreak is dead

    It's a real shame, there's one server left (Hearthigen) which is NOT a good server and any other new ones don't gain traction. Werwolf Gaming recently shut down, which didn't have the best staff but was 5+ years old. It's just a bummer, I have 2.7K hours in the game and it's likely 50% of those are in Jailbreak. I think I'll start a server one day, it just seems fitting for how much time I've spent playing that game mode. Just sucks to see the state it's in right now.

    Game isn’t working need help

    Yesterday I installed a 970 pro and I'm having an issue with it. I installed the game vr chat onto it to make sure it works and it did but now I'm having an issue with gmod. I haven't played it in a few weeks and since copying it to my ssd its no longer working. It loads around 350 addons and freezes there. I'm not sure if this is an ssd issue or if its to do with a corrupted addon. Gmod now says validating whenever I look at it in my library which I don't have a clue what that means. All files are verified and theres a 0kb update that won't download because it's literally non existent. Any help appreciated thanks.

    As you can see, Minecraft has taken over every important subreddit such as r/teenagers and r/tf2. So why don't we turn the odds in our favor? Why not flood these subreddits with gmod memes and downvote any Minecraft post to hell?
